Happy Birthday Jesus!

The song Happy Birthday Jesus, reminds us how we should celebrate Christmas. Should we go through Christmas without thinking of the first Christmas? What made CHRISTmas?

For those of you who don't know the words to the song here they are:

Happy birthday Jesus! I'm so glad it's Christmas. All the tinsel and lights and the presents are nice, but the real gift is you!

Happy birthday Jesus! I'm so glad it's Christmas. all the carols and bells make the holidays swell and it is all about you! Happy birthday Jesus! Jesus I love you.

Horse Camp

We went to Oak Meadows Stables for horse camp. It was so much fun! We did everything from ground work to riding. My favorite part was cantering! For our horses we made necklace like things to show the first zone of a horse.

Carrot Stick

With the carrot sticks we learned new tricks. A carrot stick is a long orange stick. A piece of rope with a small piece of leather attached to it is atached by a leather hoop connected to the stick. This makes the rope easy to take on and off.

Patches the STUBBORN Horse

Mrs. Imsand told our class that we could walk our horses in the pond pasture. I had a fun time trying to get Silver Bell (my favorite horse there), to go into the pond and out again. Actually the truth is I really only could get Silver Bell into the water once, so I asked Ashley to help me! Well, anyway as we where walking down the bank we heard a commotion. We turned our eyes to see that the person holding Patches had dropped the lead rope into the water. We walked over and tried with the carrot stick to get Patches out. The only problem was that Patches was out of reach and she knew it! Ashley then had an idea. I tied Silver Bell's reigns, then Ashley gave me a boost up. Since we were just going to walk around, I did not bring a helmet. I turned Silver Bell's head toward her sister, Patches. Silver Bell plunged into the water, BUT STOPPED! She did not want to get too close to her sister. Now I was in a fix! I was just barely out of reach of the rope. Just then, someone shouted "GET THE CARROT STICK!" Ashley handed it to me, then I managed, after a little while, to hook the rope on the stick, then to grab the rope and pull Patches out of the water. I somehow managed to stay on. I threw the rope to Ashley, then threw the carrot stick on the ground. Just then I saw Mrs. Imsand come up and say, "Don't let me catch you without a helmet again," with a smile on her face.

The 5ft Snake

We live in a subdivision…

…it is not very normal to have a snake, but let me tell you the whole story. I was sitting at the computer typing when I saw something move from the corner of my eye. I looked up and I saw a snake starring at me! As quick as lightning I jumped up (almost bumping into Hannah who was with me at the computer) and screamed! My Mom and Dad kept asking what had happened, but I could not speak! Finally I found my voice and stuttered, "A SNAKE!"

My Dad killed it and then he and my brothers played with it.

Yikes!!

This Year

On October 31st me and my friends performed a play about John Calvin. It was called The Invention. Katherine Calvert, Paul Clay, Hannah, Michael, and Stephen Mobley helped me to perform this educational, funny play that me and my Mom wrote. The day we were to perform everybody was goofing around (including me).   I was in the play and also the director!  I was supposed to be serving tea and since Michael kept making us all laugh while we were practicing I took the fake tea and pretended to pour it all on his head! Everyone burst into laughter.  I, being the director, tried hard not to laugh but I tried so hard that I snorted!  Everyone burst into laughter again! (Even me!).  I pretended to be mad but stomped off giggling!
