July 18, 2007

Last week, Lauren and I went to horse camp at Oak Meadows Stables. I rode Dillon, a horse that did not want to listen to me until the end of the week. Wednesday, the ferrier came and he had to get new shoes. While he was getting shoes,we went out to ride, so I had to ride a different horse. I chose Draco. I got him saddled and led him out to the arena to ride. My teacher tightend the girth and I got on. As soon as my teacher turned her back, he began to buck till he threw me off. I only scraped my arm a little, but I did not want to get back on! My teacher said it was probably because the saddle pinched him, or something like that.

Last week we were at the Jamestown Quadricentennial Celebration.  We had a really fun at the conference, doing the Jamestown 400 Treasure Hunt, going to Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. We even had a tour on a boat ride!

I just came home from church and realized I needed to update my blog! It's been a while!

We are still working on the Jamestown 400, and are waiting for another clue to solve. I excited beacuase there is a good possibility that we will be in the 100!

April 17, 2007

I am so excited! My family and I are doing a treasure hunt, The Jamestown 400. Today Vision Forum informed us that we are now on phase 2 of 3. We do not yet know what we do on phase 2. Tonight we are going  Keepers, a club for moms and daughters.

Well, I'd better get off the computer now. I still have to eat supper and get ready for keepers. Keepers starts at 6:00, but we have to be there at 5:30.

April 16, 2007

Is it April already! Time goes by fast, it seems! Today Lauren, my mom, and I are sewing dresses to wear to Constitution Village. Constitution Village is a festival and if you volunter to work there, you get to wear colonial dresses. It's really fun cause you get to work in several differant places. They have colonial-type buildings and the place looks kind of like a colonial place. This year I am going to be working in the kitchen and doing dancing. I am so excited beacause I've always wanted to work in the kitchen.

March 10, 2007

Has it already been FIVE days since I last wrote something!? Well, Thurseday I had a horseback riding lesson and rode Shadow. He was excellent. We did a lot of trotting and cantering. It was a lot of fun. I hope to go to horse camp and be a volunter for horse camp so I can go twice this year.

Well, I'd better get off the computer now. Please check my page often.

Where did time go! Tomorrow my Dad and Zachary are going to an ALERT Cadet father/son campout in Big Sandy, Texas. Poor Daniel! He has to be left with the girls! Us girls are going to have a great time without the boys, though. We are going to watch girl movies (Chick Flicks as my Dad calls them), do girly crafts, and go girly places.

If you have not already seen Lauren's blog, I recogmend it to you. She's great with web stuff.

March 3, 2007

Today we went looking for a new van and found one we really liked. It was a white Dodge Grand Caravan. We traded in my Dad's old, worn out, broken down, awful, rusty, gross, and disgusting van and bought the newer (2003) van. It has automatic doors and trunk,a CD and a cassete player. It is REALLY cool. I am glad we do not have my Dad's van anymore!

Dad says: "Hey! My old van was pretty good. It got me around just fine!"

Obviosly my Dad does not agree with me. It really is disgusting, though.

I am still taking horseback riding lessons at Oak Meadows Stables usually every other week. I have two favorite horses at the stables, one named Draco, a quick little pony, and Shadow, a horse with a comfortable walk, trot, canter, and gallop.
